  • If you’re in Vegas for CES, stop by the Digital Hollywood panels in the North Hall, on Tuesday, January 8th!
Our CEO Kelly Day, along with execs from Starz, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Trivergance, EQAL, Turner Broadcasting, and Twentieth Century Fox, will be speaking about Hollywood and the Digital Consumer at 1:30 PM in North Hall N258:

How Technology, Content and Services Establish the Next Level of Consumer Entertainment Experience
The digital home, while not fully realized, is under construction. For Hollywood, the opportunities around content are golden. How will the creative and technology communities respond to a fully realized on demand world of television, film and gaming? (more info)

Our SVP of Content and President of Blip Studios, Steve Woolf, along with execs from Vimeo, Turner Broadcasting, Alloy Digital, My Damn Channel, Electus, the Fine Brothers, and Hollywood Portfolio, will be speaking about Original Video Programming at 3 PM in North Hall N258:

The Video Explosion
It’s happening and it’s premiering on the Net. Original web programming is coming from Netflix, Amazon, DirecTV, Discovery, of course from YouTube, Turner and MTV! Is it starting to sound familiar? The web is delivering mainstream entertainment and all the mainstream media companies are chiming in. We might call the new movement in web video as “Digital Hollywood!” (more info)

  • 2013 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION: LAUGH MORE
Countdowns are so 2012, but lists are still great, right? Check out 12 of our favorite gut-busters from last year, that still hold up today!
The Chris Gethard Show: Checking in with Alyssa
With guest appearances from some of the biggest names in comedy, this episode is easily the most star-studded hour the show’s ever put together, all in the name of making a young girl’s dreams come true.

I Hate Being Single: Wouldn’t Wanna Be Ya
Rob is pressured into attending a “get together” with Dom and his friend from work. When Dom leaves early, Rob is forced to play Jenga with a crowd of strangers. From beginning to end, one of the stronger episodes of this incredibly strong series.

Model Wife: Assistants
Karme hires some assistants and Cory can’t take it. Josh and Bill try to build a shelf. Then Karme hires more assistants. Oops, now you’re an assistant.
Julian Smith: ReservationDo dates in sketch comedy ever go well?
First Dates with Toby Harris: GrouponsToby tries to save money by using a Groupon. Needless to say, it doesn’t go well.
Dick Punch: Deus Ex MommymusUpon learning that their mother has suddenly moved to Florida, Josh and Ian grapple with her terrifying ultimatum: get jobs or get out of my apartment! This series starts REALLY strong.
RedLetterMedia: Half in the Bag Episode 37: Step Up RevolutionMike and Jay have finally arrived at the VCR Repair Shop and use the opportunity to discuss the latest Step Up film in great detail for an extended period of time, with absolutely no distractions or surprise cameos. NONE. Zero. Nada. No cameos to speak of. WINK. Get it?
Pat and Andy: Just DroopyTwo dudes talk about their dudes.
David Mitchell’s SoapBox: Pointy ShoesAs pointy as shoes can be, David Mitchell is the master of pointlessness.
Bubala Please: Making LatkesJaquann and Luis help usher in Hanukkah with their super-special gangsta latke recipe.
Howard Gets an Interview: CompetitionWhile waiting for a job interview, Howard’s competition tries to get the upper hand.
The Untitled Web Series: InternetMorgan uses the internet. Everyone loves the internet.

  • To celebrate the release of The Hobbit this month, Kerry Shawcross and Chris Demarais, two of Rooster Teeth’s producers, will do in six days what took Frodo and Sam three movies to complete. They will walk the 120+ mile journey across New Zealand from the filming location of Hobbiton in Matamata to the filming location of Mount Doom, Mount Ngauruhoe. They will sleep on the ground, cross rivers, and of course, eat Lembas Bread.
Documenting the entire journey on video, Kerry and Chris will prove that one does simply walk into Mordor.
